The next order of business was to elect officers for the year. This is typically done at our December meeting which had to be cancelled because of an ice storm. It was moved by James Graby and seconded by Robert Taylor to keep the slate as is. The slate is as follows: President, Steve Booth; VP/Treasurer, Joyce Kronenwetter; Secretary, Pat Smith.
It was decided that we will have drawings again this year for Early Admission to the ASCnet Education Summits. It will be limited to one per agency. The Summits have been revamped and all classes rewritten to 7.0. They are driven toward CSR’s, Accounting, and System Coordinators. See www.ascnet.org/summits for details. The first two winners are Frank Gibson from Lowcountry Agency in Beaufort, SC and Pam Hammock from Owens Insurance in Greer, SC.
Steve also gave a report from the Advisory Board of ASCnet. There is now a monthly info exchange between Applied and the Advisory Board. ASCnet and Applied have the paperwork in process for an escrow agreement in regards to the code should anything happen to Applied.
Brian Stamper, Sales Rep from Applied Systems gave a very interesting presentation on Transformation Station.
Steve presented Limiting Errors and Omissions Using Tam and also gave us instructions for Installing Signature Files. Both were very interesting and informative.
The next meeting will be June 20 at Birkdale in Huntersville. There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia J. Smith
